The documentary
The ‘Peculiar Saga of Gubu Man’ follows the story of a former Dublin writer debilitated by a severe LED light sensitivity. Hindered by his condition to continue writing in a digital world of computer screens and smartphones, Gubu Man, as he identifies himself, turns to the handcraft art of making clay dolls in order to continue creating novels. Exiled in the shadows of his house to avoid contact with LED light, Gubu expresses himself and connects with the world outside through the dystopian saga of Gubu Dolls.
